Not that I haven't loved some of the episodes with larger themes, but it can be just as rewarding to go back to basics.

Not enough is said about the voice talents of Trey Parker and Matt Stone. Parker shines here as Cartman. One of the best scenes in the episode comes when Cartman tap dances through reasons Wendy shouldn't fight him – from lying that his mother has breast cancer, to muscular dystrophy – to insisting he'll have self respect if Wendy wants him to. This is classic Cartman, and I don't think Parker gets enough credit for being able to do that horribly grating voice and then modulate it into different levels and cadences until it sounds so singularly like the character we know as Eric Cartman.

And then, when it happens, it's sort of ugly and awful and there's bleeding and neither combatant comes off particularly well and all of a sudden it's over. Everyone just sort of stares at each other thinking, This is what we wanted to see? and attempts to mask a guilty sense of complicity behind detached irony. I'm guessing Matt and Trey saw their share of fights back in school.

As I said in my opening statement, this isn't one of South Park's breast(best) episodes. It's not even one of the best Cartman episodes. However, it's classic South Park in the sense that it takes place at the school and focuses on the kids. No Britney Spears, no George Bush, none of that. Just purely and simply the show's main characters, particulary Cartman, which, even when it's not the best, is always hilarious. The espisode does a great job at highlighting kids' excitement over a playground fight, which I think we can all relate to if you older folks remember back to your elementary school years.

the episode has lots of flaws the fight is over way to fast and the end leaves you saying that's it and their can be very boring parts.

even with the flaws this is still a good episode! watch it! http://www.southparkstudi...odes/
8.2/10.0

Enhanced Crysis Rumored For PlayStation 3

Rumors that Crysis will be coming to consoles just won't stop, which is probably a good thing for developer Crytek. Good to know that people want to play your game, especially the folks who consider a $900 PC too rich for their blood and are hungry for content. The folks dredging up the PlayStation 3 Crysis port this time are PlayStation World UK, by way of GamesRadar.

We know that the company was on the hunt for a PS3 know-it-all in the Spring of last year, but the Crytek folks have been mum since. They probably didn't want any thunder stolen from the PC version, we're guessing.

PlayStation World now says that they're hearing the PS3 version of the very pretty shooter will come packed with extras, dubbing it Crysis 1.5. But what about that rumored Xbox 360 version, listed by certain retailers? The mag puts a damper on that possibility, claiming technical reasons. Oh really? We're staying out of that one.

Consider it rumor, but given that Crytek hasn't exactly denied such a thing exists, even saying it's possible, we're keeping our fingers crossed that they'll announce something soon.

Crysis: No need to panic... if you own a PS3 [GamesRadar]]

kingdom hearts for ds trailer impressions.

WOW my friend told me to watch the trailer, and well i thought, not another final fantasy for ds, i watched it and WOW was I impressed the sound, the graphics everything was so amazing! Finally a game that I could look froward to on the ds! I may even pre-order the game! Still, Sony representatives seemed optimistic that the new screenshot functionality would be enabled by some developers via game updates and that many future games would take advantage of the screenshot function. The physical method for taking screenshots -- what button or buttons to press -- is still up in the air, but those details should become more clear later this month when the firmware launches. We do know that captured screenshots will be automatically dumped in the PS3's Photo folder.

Though details are still scarce on the screenshot function, the possibilities are impressive. And because the capturing will be done internally, the resulting images should be pixel-perfect -- more than enough quality to build an online Flickr gallery of your favorite game moments, for example.
Other highlights of the new PS3 firmware 2.5

Controller auto-off: One of the biggest annoyances of the PlayStation 3 will finally be resolved -- players can set an auto-off in the new Power Save settings menu. This will make the Sixaxis and DualShock 3 controllers turn off after 10 minutes of non use. The Power Save menu also allows you to set an auto-off time for the PlayStation 3 (handy if you want to charge your controller before heading to bed).

Trophy updates: The Trophy comparison screen has seen several improvements, most notably a new level system that tracks player progress. Players will now have a role-playing game-style level (Level 1, Level 2, and so on) with an experience-point meter that fills as new Trophies are earned. This will allow two players to compare their progress at a glance.

New video features: Firmware 2.5 adds two subtle new video playback features. Scene Search will re-process your movie or show into 1-minute increments with thumbnails for quick navigation. Sequential Playback will daisy-chain your videos together that will, for example, allow you to watch an entire season of shows uninterrupted.

Read our coverage of the PSP's new firmware 5.0 here.

wow am exited! that looks impressive, the big problems will finnally be fixed and the small annoying bugs will be taken care of!

well that's my blog i hope you enjoyed!

rember to leave a comment!

Obama buys first video game campaign ads

LOS ANGELES (Reuters) - Barack Obama, flush with cash and ramping up his advertising in the final weeks before the November 4 election, is making U.S. political history by placing the first presidential campaign ads in online video games.

The Democratic Illinois senator is using the Internet ads, featured in 18 games through Microsoft Corp's Xbox Live service, to promote his online voter registration and early balloting drive in 10 battleground states, a campaign spokesman said on Wednesday.

Unprecedented in U.S. presidential politics, the video game buy is targeted mainly at young adult males who are difficult to reach through more traditional campaign advertising.

"The 18-to-34-year-old male is the mainstream demographic for the hard-core video gamer," said Van Baker, an analyst for Gartner Inc., a technology market research firm in San Jose, California. Caught between powerful forces and hunted down by genetically mutated citizens, the player will come to grips with the mysterious and fascinating world of Rapture, a distinct Art Deco underwater utopia gone mad. BioShock not only challenges the players' capacity to adapt and survive, but brings to question their values and commitment to the inhabitants of Rapture. With smart and adaptive AI, no encounter ever plays out the same, while numerous customization options provide gamers with an experience that adapts to their playing style. This game got a 9.4 on IGN and its press score is a 9.4

which do you like better?

Metal Gear Solid 4

Grand Thief Auto 4

What IGN says of GTA 4:

Grand Theft Auto III was a revolutionary title, one that inspired a whole new generation of 3D action games. Grand Theft Auto IV is just as big a leap forward, though perhaps in subtler ways, and sets a new benchmark for open-world games. Everything in GTA IV works in harmony. The story would be nothing without the city; the city gains realism from the physics engine; the physics complement the improved AI; the AI would make no sense without the new cover system. And on and on. There is no one major weak aspect.
A "10" is not a score we give out very often. In fact, the last time we gave a 10 to a console game was Soul Calibur in 1999. A 10 doesn't mean a game is perfect -- it means a game is pushing boundaries, expanding a genre, and doing many things to a level so far above and beyond its competitors that they overshadows any flaws. Certainly, GTA IV has some issues, the most noticeable being the occasional flaw in the cover system, but there are many more pieces of GTA IV that are better than anything I've seen from a game in the past decade. We don't give 10s often -- just to games that merit the score.

What IGN says of Metal Gear Solid 4:

This would be the game that would merit that score. Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots is a title that exceeds all of the hype that was attached to the title. Regardless of whether you've seen every trailer and screenshot, read every preview and heard every interview, you won't get a full sense of how phenomenal this title is unless you sit down and experience it for yourself. Legends die hard and deserve a heroic story that lives on when they are gone. Metal Gear Solid 4 is such an ending for the legendary warrior Solid Snake. Not only does it sum up the full franchise of Metal Gear, its depth and its complexity, coupled with its technical prowess, make it one of the best games of the year and, indeed, one of the best games ever made. Get some well earned rest, Snake. You've earned it. We salute you.

The best games of 2007

These are the best game of the year in 2007
1.
